http://gprecordingstudio.com/ A Recording Studio for Songwriters and aspiring Artists with the latest State-of-the-Art Digital equipment. An Award Winning web page with a wealth of free information and advice for Songwriters and Vocalists trying to break into the Music Industry presented in a very "down to earth" and straight-forward way.
About Gerry Peters: "I record CD projects and songwriter demos as a producer, engineer, and keyboardist. I've worked as a Nashville session keyboard player in the major studios for all sorts of projects including many major artists and major labels. So I have a storehouse of experience that I bring to every project. I usually work with one artist or writer and not a full self contained band. In Nashville, of course I do a lot of country, yet I mostly record Christian projects and those can be any style from rock, pop, R+B, church, country, MOR, Folk, Orchestral, Jazz, etc. Visit my website http://gprecordingstudio.com for lots of additional info."

Happy 85th Birthday Miles Davis!

May 26, 2011 - Munite stopped in at Los Angeles' very own Jazz Bakery Moveable Feast celebrated at the Nate Holden Performing Arts Center. Jazz trumpeter Nicholas Payton performed on his trumpet as well as Fender Rhodes. Robert Hurst on bass and Lenny White on drums. It was a great performance overall. Nicholas Payton is an amazing musician! Along with his beautiful tone on trumpet, he can really throw down on the Rhodes. Wow! Lenny White was mesmerizing on drums. He's got a different tuning on his drum kit that makes his bass drum sound like a timpani. It was a nice compliment to the bass tone that Robert Hurst was eminating from his bass. It was a great night of music!

Alex Al - Bass player from Michael Jackson's This Is It

I met Alex Al back in '07 at Bass Day Pasadena. He was one of the clinicians there. Super chill guy like a lot of bass players tend to be.

Here's a bit more about him:

"Originally form Detroit, Michigan, Alex has played with everyone from Stevie Wonder to Paul Simon, and was Michael Jackson's bass player in "This Is It." Get up-close-and-personal with "Ese Vatos" bassist Alex Al... described by Michael Bearden as "the funkiest bass player on the planet."

Check out this clip from Lopez Tonight.

Cool gear for guitarists and bassists - Planet Waves Guitar Rest.

So I happened upon this gear review of the Planet Waves Guitar Rest. Genius idea! I always rest my guitars and basses against tables and amps. It definitely looks like a good solution to preventing damage to your beloved axe.

Check it out.
